To provide a mildew-removing, mildew-proofing and bactericidal agent having actions on mildew-removing, mildew-proofing, bactericidal, washing and deodorizing etc., on articles for kitchens and walls, floors etc., of the kitchens and walls, floors etc., of plants for food production and food processing etc.
The mildew-removing, mildew-proofing and bactericidal agent comprise silver ions and saponin in electrolyzed water obtained by electrolyzing water containing sodium hydrogencarbonate etc. The electrolyzed water is preferably diluted to 3-25 times with active water filtered through a semiconductor ceramic consisting essentially of a silicon compound as a filter medium and used. The mildew-removing, mildew-proofing and bactericidal agent preferably contains 0.1-1.0 mass% (preferably 0.1-0.6 mass%) of sodium chloride. Furthermore, the silver ions are preferably fed from a silver compound (Ag2O etc.) contained in a resin molded product (composed of polyethylene resin etc.) in contact with the electrolyzed water. The saponin is preferably saponin obtained by extracting bark of Quillaja saponaria which is a plant of the family Rosaceae.
