To properly control an ink transfer amount in response to a printing rate of a document image, in a mimeographic printing method using a mimeographic printing plate provided with a thermoplastic resin film on a surface and a reverse face, in particular, of an intermediate layer for holding ink.
This preparation printer 1 includes the first and second thermal heads A, B for preparing respectively a surface and a reverse face of mimeographic base paper 2. The image is prepared in a surface side by the first thermal head A, and ink introduction holes are formed at a density proportional to the printing rate of the image in a position corresponding to a reverse side, by the second thermal head B. A large number of the ink introduction holes is formed in the reverse face side of a solid region, a reduced number of the ink introduction holes is formed in the reverse face side of a character region or the like, and the ink transfer amount is made proper thereby, to hardly generate ink leakage, setoff and a void or the liked in printing.
