Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a mineral absorption promoter having high mineral absorption efficiency.
CONSTITUTION: A mineral absorption promoter comprises γ-carboxyglutamic acid or a peptide or a protein composed of the γ-carboxyglutamic acid as a constituent amino acid. Osteocalcin and blood coagulation factor may be cited as the peptide and protein. The mineral absorption promoter can raise absorption of calcium and other minerals and improve human and animal health when added to a food and drink, a medicine and a feed.
