Title:
MINIATURIZED OPTICAL SCANNING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3442538
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive miniaturized scanning device for which a reduction scale is increased, the distance between an object and a detector is shortened, structure is simplified and manufacture is facilitated.
SOLUTION: This device is provided with a substrate 6 equipped with a plane faced to an object 1 for fetching the image of the object 1 and a plane arranging a CCD element 3 for reading the image, and plural optical waveguides, for which one end is arranged on the plane faced to the object 1 and the other end is coupled with the CCD element 3 respectively inside the substrate 6, for transmitting the fetched image to the CCD element 3. Concerning the material of the substrate 6, polymer is used and concerning the material of the optical waveguide, polymer having a higher refractive index than that of the substrate is used. Each optical waveguide has two sections bent at 90° and they are respectively vertically arranged on the plane faced to the object 1 and the plane arranging the CCD element 3 at both ends.
