Abstract:
To improve the performance while satisfying the profile restriction.
The missile with a non-cylindrical propulsion part comprises a nose 24, a tail 26, a slender 22 having an axis in a longitudinal direction, a propulsion system 34 disposed in the part 22b of the 22 and having a non- circular section in the section perpendicular to the axis in the longitudinal direction, and a control wing 32 for guiding to control the flying direction of the body 22. The body part 22b disposed with the system 34 is preferably formed in non-circular section. The non-circular section is substantially elliptical, and the ratio of the main axis to the support axis of the ellipse is larger than 1.0 and less than about 1.5:1 or less.
