Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent environmental pollution due to discharge of mist to a exhaust device and its accumulation to an exhaust duct by the use of a mist removing apparatus comprising a baffle in the exhaust duct of application mist and its heating device and exhaust device.
CONSTITUTION: A suction air flow containing sucked mist M is heated by a heat exchanger 7 within the exhaust duct, and a part of the mist adheres to the exchanger 7, however, since the temperature thereof is higher than the melting temperature of ink 1, the adhered mist M is melted and subsequently comes down on the lower surface of the exhaust duct. In the next place, a suction air flow containing not heated mist M comes into collision against the baffle 7 and adheres to the baffle 7 in a melted state, and when the flow becomes droplets by the increase of the adherence amount, they drop in the exhaust duct. In this way, the suction flow containing mist is exhausted by the exhaust duct 8 and exhaust fan in a state of the greater part of mist removed therefrom. On the other hand, a part of the mist generated in the application part 2 flows in the guide roller direction, however, air containing mist is torn away from the web W by a blowoff air from the air nozzle, and then blown back in the direction of the exhaust duct 5.
