PURPOSE: To provide the title agent active to indoor Tarsonemidae at low dosage along with its ovicidal activity for the mite, also serving as a fumigant, containing 3-iodo-2-propynylbutyl carbamate.

CONSTITUTION: The objective mite-controlling agent or mite-controlling fumigant containing, as active ingredient, pref. 0.1-50 (esp. 0.1-20) wt.% of 3-iodo-2- propynylbutyl carbamate. The present agent may be used by mixing with other bactericide(s) and/or insecticide(s). The 3-iodo-2-propynylbutyl carbamate can nearly perfectly control up to the indoor Tarsonemidae in 'tatami' or carpets at low dosage; furthermore, it can kill not only adult mite but also its ova, thus effectively preventing mite recurrence.
