PURPOSE: A liquid/solid suspension fuel with excellent storage stability, transportation stability and fluidity, which is primarily composed of powdery coal and alcohol, and contains as an additive a specified polyether compd.
CONSTITUTION: In a liquid/solid mixed fuel primarily composed of a mixture of powdery coal and alcohol, a polyether compd. of the formula (wherein Z is a 4W 24C saturated or unsaturated aliph. carboxylic acid residue; R is 2W4C alkylene; n is the total mol number of added alkylene oxide, ≥5; m is the number of active hydrogen atoms in Z) in which not less than 90wt% polyoxyalkylene chain consists of ethylene oxide groups, is incorporated as an additive. Depending on the kind, particle size distribution, etc. of coal, said additive is added generally in a proportion of 0.01W10wt% based on the total wt. of the mixed fuel.
