To provide a mixer, with which a filter to be mounted outside can be miniaturized while letting a balan have filtering characteristics, concerning the mixer to be used for the frequency conversion of microwave and millimeter wave bands.
A split ring resonator 101 composed of parallel coupling line opened at both terminals and a single line connected to them is used and the balan, a mixer diode part 104 inserted between the opening terminals is provided with an RF port 105 and an IF port 106 through an LPF 107, Lo is inputted from an Lo port 103 of one terminal short-circuitted coupling line 102 coupling its magnetic field near the midpoint of single line and by impressing Lo to the diode part 104 with the reverse phase and impressing an RF signal to the diode part 104 with the same phase, the balan itself can be miniaturized. Then, the mixer with which the filter to be mounted outside can be miniaturized while letting the balan have the filtering characteristics can be provided.
