PURPOSE: To mix highly efficiently and speedily without bringing an object liquid into contact with a mixing means outside by installing means for suspending a vertical cylindrical container rotatably around each of two horizontal axes crossing perpendicularly and means for causing circular motion of the container in a horizontal plane.

CONSTITUTION: A vertical cylindrical container 3 which is opened at the upper side is so hung by a hanging means consisting of container holding shafts 8a, 8b, and shafts 9a, 9b as to freely rotate the container around at least each of two perpendicularly crossing axes. Also, the container 3 is moved in a circle or an ellipse in a horizontal plane by a movement imparting means consisting of a circularly recessed part 6 in the container 3 and an eccentric rotary protrusion 12 on a motor 11. As a result, without bringing an object liquid into contact with a mixing means such as a stirring rod from the outside, highly efficient and speedy mixing is carried out.
