To enable labor saving and efficiency improvement by efficiently mixing food materials by stopping a rotary container once in a state that the opening of the container faces in the lateral direction, taking out a part of the food materials and subsequently taking out the remaining of the food materials in a state where the opening faces downward, needing no preparation of a large receiving container.
A rotary container 2a is rotated around a rotary shaft which tilts against the shaft line of the container, so that the opening 2a of the rotary container 2 faces diagonally upward, diagonally laterally, diagonally downward and then diagonally laterally, in serial order and repeatedly, and the food materials W placed in the rotary container 2 are mixed. After that, the rotary container 2 is stopped in a state where the opening 2a faces diagonally laterally, and a part of the food materials W is taken out. Then, the rotary container 2 is rotated a little until the opening 2a faces diagonally downward, and the remaining of the food materials W is taken out. Further, the rotation of the rotary container 2 from the state where the opening 2a faces diagonally laterally to the state where it faces diagonally downward is preferably controlled at a low speed.
