Abstract:
PURPOSE: To increase the efficiency of stabilization of ground and reduce the cost thereof, by fitting an agitating blade on a carrier fixed to an arm of a working machine like a backhoe and continuously supplying the short fibers with a pneumatic conveyor and mixing the fiber with soil at site.
CONSTITUTION: A lump of fiber composed of short fiber which is not formed as a sheet is disentangled by a drum with claws and 1-100 De thick and 10-200mm long-short fiber is supplied from a supply nozzle 9 into a hood 13 installed in a carrier 12 through a pneumatic conveyor pipe 8. The ground is excavated by an agitator blade having cutting blades 10 and mixed with the short fiber. In this case, hydraulic materials like cement or lime are supplied when necessary and mixed with soil and a light material like foamed styrene beads can be mixed or a sodding material like peat moss or fertilizer can be supplied. And a homogeneous soil mixed with fiber can be made continuously at the site and even a slope can be easily stabilized. In this way, stabilization of soil can be performed in low cost.
