Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent abrasion of an O-ring preventing leaks around a diaphragm in a mixing valve for adjusting the opening degree of a valve member by means of the diaphragm in accordance with variations in the flow of hot water, by specially designing an O-ring fitting section. CONSTITUTION:In a hot water producing device in which heated water and cold water fed into a mixture valve through the openings 16c, 16d of a valve member 16 from inlets 11b, 11c, respectively, are mixed together to form hot water that then flows out through a hot water outlet 11d, the valve member 16 adjusts its opening degree with the use of the displacement of a diaphragm due to the equilibrium between a cold water inlet pressure which is led to an upper chamber 29 through an introduction pipe and the spring force of a spring 22. In the above- mentioned arrangement, an O-ring 21 is disposed between the outer peripheral surface of a shaft part 16b of the valve member 16 and the inner peripheral surface of a diaphragm retainer 19. Further, the diaphragm retainer 19 and the valve member 16 are coupled together by fastening a nut 20 screwed onto the valve shaft part 16b, thereby the replacement of the above-mentioned O-ring etc. may be simplified.
