Abstract:
In a mobile communication system which allows high data rate communication, a mobile speed detection portion (304) is responsible for detecting mobile speed of a mobile communication terminal (PS) based on which the mode of modulation within the district is determined. As for the mobile communication terminal (PS) which has a slower mobile speed than a prescribed value, a mode of high post rate modulation is set for conducting high data rate communication. And for the mobile communication terminal (PS) which has a quicker mobile speed than the prescribed value, a mod of low post rate modulation is thus set, and the communication range is enlarged and a frequency of handing over is reduced, in order to prevent cut-off of communication. At the same time, a decrease of communication data rate occurs due to increasing distribution of channels in order to compensate the mode of low post rate modulation, thus maintaining high data rate communication.
