Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information terminal communicable with an IC chip which reliably prevents spoofing by a holder of an illicit IC chip.SOLUTION: A handy terminal 50 (portable information terminal) registers an image of the face of a holder of an IC card 80 in identification information of the IC card 80 with the image associated with the identification information. In authentication processing, the handy terminal 50 reads the IC card by a card reader, etc., and determines whether or not a piece of acquired identification information (acquired information) is identical with any piece of the registered identification information (registered information). When it is identical, the image of the face of the holder associated with the piece of the acquired information is displayed.
