Abstract:
To provide an inexpensive mobile object satellite broadcast reception device which is not affected by weather and the like.
The device has an antenna where the azimuth of an antenna directional pattern is varied and a means detecting the present azimuth of the antenna by a magnetic sensor which is mechanically connected to the antenna and controlling the antenna so as to precisely turn the antenna directional pattern to the direction of a target broadcast satellite based on the azimuth detection output. When a radio wave from a gap filler is received, the antenna is automatically controlled to a non-directional pattern. A micro strip patch antenna where plural conductive patches are arranged is used as the example of the antenna.
