Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile phone system, where a mobile phone can effectively utilize GPS information by utilizing radio communication, even if the mobile phone is in a poor direct reception state of the GPS information.
SOLUTION: In this mobile phone system, the mobile phone 10 provided with a 1st GPS unit capable of receiving GPS information sent from a GPS satellite 30 has a basic function that informs a telephone network 40 connected to a mobile phone base station 20 via the mobile phone base station 20 through radio communication about position data of the mobile phone 10 obtained by applying information processing to the GPS information and also the mobile phone base station 20 has a function of acquiring position information of its own station (stored in advance in an identifiable way from each station) applicable as position data included in the GPS information and of transmitting the information to the mobile phone 10, while including the information to notice information with respect to which the base station 20 informs the mobile phone 10, because the mobile phone base station 20 is provided with a 2nd GPS unit capable of receiving the GPS information sent from the GPS satellite.
