Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform the maintenance and inspection work of plant or the like easily by commanding the action of a robot through voice by an acoustic command device. CONSTITUTION:In a monitoring robot 1, a TV camera 7, a robot-side sound I/O device 8a and an information processor 9a are mounted on a travelling car 6a to be moved. A working robot 2 and an inspection robot 3 are also provided with a manipulator 17, a sensor 18 wuch as a thermometer and information processors 9b, 9c. In addition, two command-side voice I/O devices 4 consisting of speakers 19a, 19b and microphones 20 are arranged on the inside of a diaphragm 19 of a chemical plant or the like and an operator console 5 consisting of a microphone 21, an operator monitoring/display system 23, etc. is arranged on its outside. When an operator commands the operation of respective robots 1-3 through the voice input microphone 21, the command is displayed on said display system 23 and respective robots 1-3 decode the voice to execute the work.
