Abstract:

To permit re-loading of a card by an SMS or USDD message even if the credit of a card is exceeded and all regular calls from an SIM card or against the card are blocked.

A subscriber identification SIM card 2 for a mobile telephone is provided with a use times information counter ACM(accumulation call meter) 23. An EEPROM memory 29 in the card contains a file ACM max 24 for displaying the maximum value of the use times information counter and an EFFDN 26 for displaying at least one free telephone number. Comparison means 20 and 27 compare a value displayed by the use times information counter with the maximum value of the use times information counter, and a means for blocking calls 20 and 27 based on a supplied result is controlled. The blocking means does not block a call intending a prescribed number stored in the card. It calls an emergency number or the number of a server, which is reloaded in the card, for example.
