PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal device capable of improving amusement, functionality, or an added value due to display, even while two display units overlap one another.SOLUTION: A portable terminal device 100 comprises: a first unit 10 comprising a first display unit 13; a second unit 20 comprising a second display unit 25; a moving mechanism unit which moves the first unit 10 in a direction of increasing the overlapping area of the first unit 10 with the second display unit 25 and in a direction of decreasing the area; and a CPU 23b which controls the first display unit 13 and the second display unit 25. In this case, while the overlapping area is the maximum, the display area of the second display unit 25 is partially exposed to the outside.
