Abstract:

To miniaturize a mobile terminal without decreasing the number of functions that users can use.

In the mobile terminal 100, a switch in a screw hole of the terminal 100 is pressed down by contacting a screw 222A and a screw 222B of a USB device when these screws are coupled in the screw hole of the mobile terminal 100. Attachment of a USB device 200 to the mobile terminal 100 is detected by an output signal of the switch, starting the mobile terminal 100 to feed power from a power feeding terminal of the mobile terminal 100 to a terminal for power sources. The USB devise 200 is driven with the power, and establishes a connection between the mobile terminal 100 via an USB connector 221. Power supply to the USB device 200 is started based on an application library for the USB device 200 when an application to use the USB device 200 on the mobile terminal 100 is started if no switch is installed in the mobile terminal 100.
