Abstract:

To provide a mobile unit position detection method which detects the position of various kinds of mobile units at low cost, using a leaky coaxial cable.

The mobile unit position detection method lays at least the two leaky coaxial cables 10A, 10B at a position detection area so that they face each other, connects receivers 20A, 20B to the two cables 10A 10B, respectively, receives a transmission signal from a transmitter 30 on the mobile unit side within the position detection area by the receivers 20A, 20B through the two cables 10A, 20B, respectively, and detects the position of the mobile unit, on the basis of the signal intensity of signals received at the receivers 20A, 20B, and thereby allowing detection of the position of various kinds of mobile units at low cost.
