PURPOSE: To enable the most efficient exclusive mode to be selected in setting a new exclusive mode, by installing a pass switch for passing a mode unnecessary to be set.

CONSTITUTION: An exclusive mode switch section 3 is composed of an exclusive mode designating switch 15, a mode changing switch 16, a pass switch 17, and 9 exclusive switches 18, as shown in AWI. When it is wanted to make copies in the exclusive mode, first, the exclusive mode designating switch 15 is pushed, and one of the exclusive mode switches 18 in the AWI is pushed. When the switch 18 is pushed, an optional combination of magnification, feed paper size, paper ejection, and copy quantity is to be designated, and its contents are stored in the memory of a copying machine.
