Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified ethylene - vinyl alcohol copolymer excellent in barrier property, transparency, drawability, flexibility and flex proofness.
SOLUTION: This modified ethylene - vinyl alcohol copolymer contains an ethylene content of 5 to 55 mol % and 0.3 to 40 mol % of a structural unit expressed by formula (I) (wherein R1, R2, R3 and R4 each represents a hydrogen atom, a 1-10C aliphatic hydrocarbon group, a 3-10C alicyclic hydrocarbon group, a 6-10C aromatic hydrocarbon group, where R1, R2, R3 and R4 may be same or different and R3 and R4 may be linked to each other, and the R1, R2, R3 and R4 may each contain a hydroxy group, a carboxy group and/or a halogen atom.).
