Abstract:
To provide new modified gelatin capable of improving preservation stability while controlling reduction in sensitivity where a silver halide is used as a photosensitive material for photos.
This modified gelatin is characterized by containing hydroxyamino group as a modifying group. It is represented preferably by formula 1 [wherein Gel is gelatin, L1 is any one of the groups present in the gelatin selected from -C(=O)O-, -NH-, -N=, -N<, -O-, -S-, -NH-C(=NH2+)NH- and -NH-C(=NH)NH-; L2 is a linking group, R1 is a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and n1 is 1 or 2].
