PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified pulp production method which enables efficient production of modified pulp.SOLUTION: In a modified pulp production method which includes a dehydration/cleaning step for executing a dehydration/cleaning treatment of modified pulp, the dehydration/cleaning treatment of the modified pulp is executed a plurality of times. In the plurality of times of dehydration/cleaning treatment, filtrate acquired by the dehydrator is recovered and returned to a feed tank for a prescribed length of time from a start of feeding to the dehydrator defined for each of the treatments when dehydrating the modified pulp stored in the feed tank by the dehydrator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
