PURPOSE: To contrive to improve evaporation capacity of evaporator by a compact constitution, by forming a great number of protrusions on the base of evaporator.
CONSTITUTION: Plural reactors 3 are set at the upper part of an evaporator 1. The base of the evaporator 1 is equipped with uneven folds in a multiple ring shape and thereby a great number of ring-shaped protrusions 4 and channels laid between them are formed. A mixed liquid fuel dripped from a fuel feed pipe 5 to the base of the evaporator 1 is vaporized by heating of a burner 2 and flows into the reactors 3. By this mechanism, since a great number of protrusions 4 are formed on the base of the evaporator 1, heating area per unit volume is increased and heat exchange for the liquid fuel is promoted. Consequently, evaporation capacity can be improved by a compact constitution and the device can be miniaturized. Reactivity of steam modifying reaction in the reactors 3 can be improved.
