PURPOSE: To prevent variation of combustibility, etc., of a gas and occurrence of accidents such as fire, by determining the specific gravity of a gas which has been produced in a city gas producing system to control the amount of air to be fed and determining the calorie to control the amount of a carburation source to be fed.
CONSTITUTION: A gas 1 which has been produced in a city gas producing system is fed into a mixing tank 2, where it is mixed with air 4 and a carburation source 3 (e.g.: liquefied petroleum gas). The specific gravity of the mixed gas is determined with a specific gravity determining device 7. The amount of air 4 is controlled with an air controlling valve 6 based on the data thus obtained. The calorie of the mixed gas is determined with a heat quantity determining device 5. The amount of the carburation source 3 is controlled with a carburation controlling valve 8 based on the data thus obtained. The, there can be produced a city gas which has been adjusted with respect to calorie as well as specific gravity, which contributes to prevention of occurrence of partial combustion of a gas appliance, lifting of flame, etc., due to variation of combustionability of a gas.
