Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modular rolling mill easily adaptable to the product size in an extensive range by providing a means to connect several rolling units to two adjacent gear reduction units in an attachable/detachable manner, and connect the remainder of the rolling units to one gear reduction unit.
SOLUTION: The modular rolling mill comprises a single gear reduction unit 38 and two unit rolling units 10 to be driven by an attached drive motor 40. As the capacity of the rolling mill is increased, or the product of the size in an extensive range must be rolled, another rolling unit 10 and the gear reduction unit 38 are added. The capacity of the rolling mill can be increased step by step by achieving the expansion step by step to meet the request to be gradually increased. A powerful mechanical mutual engagement can be established between continuous rolling units by the gear reduction unit 38 in addition to the reinforcement of the rolling unit 10.
