Title:
MODULATOR FOR ANTILOCK CONTROL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60252053
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent a jumping phenomenon in time of opening a valve body from occurring, by making up the valve body, which opens or closes a valve port interconnecting input and output hydraulic spaces through in a modulator bearing the above caption, from a shock-absorbable material.

CONSTITUTION: An antilock control unit 7 to be mounted on a motorcycle is provided with a hydraulic pump 16 driven by a front wheel 2b in time of being braked, a modulator 17 having a control hydraulic chamber 18 where discharge pressure of the pump is led into, a normally closed type exhaust pressure valve 20 to be additionally installed in an interconnecting passage between the control hydraulic chamber 19 and an oil tank 19 and an inertial type sensor 21 detecting a front wheel lock and making the exhaust pressure valve 20 open. The modulator 17 is provided with a valve body 60 opening or closing a valve port 59 interconnecting an interval between input and output hydraulic chamber 54 and 55, while the valve body 60 is opened when a decompression piston 46 minimizes capacity of the output hydraulic chamber 55. In this case, the valve body 60 is made up of a shock-absorbable material, for example, fiber reinforced resin or the like, whereby a jumping phenomenon in time of closing the valve body 60 is prevented from occurring.
