To secure moisture-proof characteristics without damaging an organic EL element in an organic EL display.

The organic EL display is provided with a glass substrate 12, an organic EL film 13, and a sealing member 14. The sealing member 14 is provided with a sealing substrate 18 and a sealing frame 19, and a concave part 21 is formed by an annular side wall 19a of the inside of the sealing frame 19 and the lower face 18a of the sealing substrate 18. A moisture-proof coating film 22 made of a fluororesin is formed on the whole part of the surface 21a of the concave part 21 by applying a rapid-dry moisture-proof coating material. A desiccant consisting of barium oxide is dispersed and fixed to the coating film 22. The sealing member 14 is adhered to the glass substrate 12 so that the organic EL film 13 is enclosed in a space 23 formed in the concave part 21. The moisture go to entering the space 23 is blocked by the coating film 22. In the case the moisture enters inside the space 23, it is absorbed by the desiccant of the coating film 22.
