Abstract:
PURPOSE: To continuously cast a cast slab having no surface defect, such as drawing mark, hot tear.
CONSTITUTION: Upper end surface of a ceramic mold 2' directly connected with a tundish 1, is made to be the same height as upper end surface of a water-cooled copper mold 2 inserting the above mold, or made to be higher than the upper end surface of the copper mold.
