To provide an inexpensive mold device which prevents the defect from being caused at a mouth part of a glass vessel by improving the cooling efficiency of a mouth mold and a guide ring and attains improvement in productivity.
The mold device includes the halved structural mouth mold 3 having a mold holes 30a, 30b for forming the mouth part of the glass vessel and the guide ring 4 having a mold surface 40 peripherally provided on the upper surface opening edge of a hole communicating with the mold holes 30a, 30b to form the top surface of the mouth part of the glass vessel. The mouth mold 3 holds the guide ring 4 to embrace the outer peripheral part of the guide ring 4. The mouth mold 3 and the guide ring 4 are made of cast iron and is provided with a plurality of cooling holes 38 penetrating the inside and outside of the mouth mold 3 along the outer peripheral surface of the mouth mold 3.
