Abstract:

To improve adhesion between a mold release film and a body member without complicating the film configuration, in a mold for molding an optical element and a method for manufacturing such a mold for molding an optical element.

A lower mold 2 is provided with a body member consisting of a base material 2A and a mirror surface forming layer 2B in which an uneven part S2B is formed by grain growth on a mirror surface S2 formed in a shape taken along the surface shape of a molded article, and a mold release film 2C laminated on the mirror surface S2 of the body member via the uneven part S2B and constituting a molding surface 2a which adheres closely to a molding material in a releasable state.
