CONSTITUTION: A bottom force 5 of a resin transfer mold is made as a mold for molding a side wherein surface quality is required and a reinforcing backing 3 such as an iron frame and a backing 2 consisting of a resin mixing material being similar to the conventional mold are provided and a metal mold surface layer 1 forming a cavity is formed on this surface by using a resin, nickel electroplating, electric discharge machining or scraping. On the other hand, for a top force 4' wherein surface quality is not required, a reinforcing backing is reinforced with an iron frame and a metal material and a backing material 2 is formed by adding a resin composite material and a surface layer 19 is formed of a rubbery material. A resin is made easy to flow thereby as the rubbery molding layer is elastically deformed by resin casting pressure and it is possible to adjust the thickness of the molded item by controlling the casting resin pressure.
