Abstract:
To provide a cellulose fiber molded product having improved tensile elastic modulus, preferably a cellulose fiber molded product also having improved tensile strength, and a method for manufacturing the same.A cellulose fiber molded product X contains cellulose fibers as the main component, in which the cellulose fibers contain pulp P and defibrated fibers C, and the defibrated fibers C contain microfibrillated cellulose. For manufacturing the molded product X, a cellulose fiber slurry S is prepared using the pulp P and the defibrated fibers C, wet paper is formed from the cellulose fiber slurry S, and the wet paper is dehydrated, pressurized, and heated. At this time, as the defibrated fibers C, microfibrillated cellulose, or microfibrillated cellulose and cellulose nanofibers are used.
