Abstract:
To provide a molded body that can be suitably used for a base for flower arrangement and has biodegradability and also both water absorptive and water retentive abilities.
The molded body comprises solidifying a poorly water-soluble and biodegradable material having any one or more forms selected from the group consisting of an amorphous powder, a scale-like powder, a chopped strand with a length of 10 mm or less, and a cotton-like fiber with a length of 10 mm or less using a biodegradable material capable of composing an aqueous gel, as a binder.
