A fiber assembly contains 30 mass% or more of heat-adhesive composite fiber, the composite fiber containing a first component containing a polyoxymethylene polymer A and a second component containing polyoxymethylene copolymer B, the first component being exposed by a length of 20% or more in relation to the length of a peripheral face of the fiber, TAand TBsatisfying a relation of TB>TA+10, where TAand TBare respectively melting peak temperatures of the polyoxymethylene polymers A and B measured according to JIS K7121, the crystallization temperature of the polyoxymethylene polymer A before spinning being 125-150°C, and a 1/2 crystallization time at 140°C being 5-1,200 sec. The fiber assembly is wound around a winding core while thermally bonding the first component of the heat-adhesive composite fiber, to obtain the cylindrically molded filter with the fiber assembly wound therearound.
