To obtain a molded material of an antibacterial resin preventing discoloration with passing of time caused from a contact with water by using an antibacterial material pretreated for improving wettability to a resin material as the antibacterial material compounding to the resin material.
This molded material is composed of a material obtained by compounding (A) a resin material with (B) an antibacterial material pretreated for improving wettability to the component A. As the component B, an inorganic particle of glass, zeolite, etc., carrying a metal having antibacterial property is exemplified. Preferably, silver is used as the antibacterial metal. As pretreatment for improving wettability, e.g. a method of silanetreating the inorganic antibacterial material such as glass carrying the antibacterial metal with a silane coupling agent is preferable. As the silane coupling agent, vinyl trichlorosilane, vinyl triethoxysilane, etc., is preferable for an unsaturated polyester resin of the component A and γ-methacryloxypropyl trimethoxysilane, etc., is preferable for an acrylic resin of the component A.
