PURPOSE: To produce a molded product having the grain of wood, the grain of stone, etc. on an outer or an inner surface, whichever the surface may be, by a method wherein thermoplastic resins are mixed with colored, graftized polyphenylene ether resins for molding.

CONSTITUTION: There is mixed with 0.1W15 weight part of a flatting agent 100 weight part of a mixture resin in which 80W99.9wt% of thermoplastic resins, such as colored or non-colored PS resins, ABS resins, etc., is mixed with 20W0.1wt% of graftized polyphenylene ether resins or modified resins thereof, the said flatting agent being selected from a foaming agent, a synthetic rubber and/or an inorganic material. The mixture is molded at 170W300°C by means of an injection molder, an extruder or an injection-blow molder. This protects against disclosure of a ground pattern of the inside, which is the result of the external damage, or against the wear and fading, and obtains the molded product with a pattern such as the grain of wood, the grain of stones, etc. on an outer or an inner surface whichever the surface may be.
