PURPOSE: To eliminate inclusion of a granulated dried product of a slurry into a green sheet by providing an org. membrane on the surface and the rear face of the blade of a doctor blade which is brought into contact with the slurry.
CONSTITUTION: A green sheet manufacturing apparatus consists of a dam tank 1 for a slurry, a pipe type doctor blade 2, a natural drying room 3, a forced drying room 4, driers 6 and 7, a carrier sheet 8 and a cutter 9. For example, a 'Teflon(R)' membrane 12 is provided on the surfaces 10 and 11 of the blade of this pipe type doctor blade 2. When a knife type blade is used, for example, a 'Teflon(R)' membrane 15 is provided on the surface 13 and the rear face 14 of the blade. The contact angle between the slurry and the surfaces of the org. membranes 12 and 15 is pref. 90-180°. The blade is prevented from occurrence of defects by providing the org. membranes 12 and 15 and generation of granulated foreign substances is remarkably decreased. In addition, the rear face of the blade is prevented from adhesion of the slurry by making the contact angle with the slurry large.
