Abstract:
To eliminate a complicated process for controlling a gap between a punch and a die appropriately according to the thickness or the quality etc. of the material to be formed to provide a formed product with small variations in the accuracy.SOLUTION: An upper die 46 of a forming apparatus 10 includes a first curved portion 78 and a second curved portion 80 between a second concave section 68 and an upper holding surface 72. The first curved portion 78 is curved in a direction away from the upper die 46. The second curved portion 80 is curved toward the upper die 46. A blank holding surface 82 of a blank holder 48 holds a blank 12 between itself and the upper holding surface 72 of the upper die 46. The blank holding surface 82 faces the second curved portion 80. The blank holding surface 82 includes a blank curved surface 86 recessed along the second curved portion 80.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
