Abstract:
To provide an extrusion molding technique effective for attaining the quality stabilization of a ceramic honeycomb structure.SOLUTION: A molding die 1 comprises: a first planar part 10 made of a first metallic material; and a second planar part 20 made of a second metallic material having a hardness exceeding that of the first metallic material. Plural raw material feed holes 13 stretch from a raw material feed face 12 of the first planar part 10, and lattice-like slits 23 communicating with the plural raw material feed holes 13 are opened at an extrusion face 22 of the second planar part 20. The second planar part 20 comprises: a high flow rate part 24 having the slits 23 communicating with first feed holes 13A having a relatively high introduction rate of a molding raw material in the plural raw material feed holes 13; and a low flow rate part 25 having the slits 23 communicating with second feed holes 13B having a relatively low introduction rate of the molding raw material in the plural raw material feed holes 13. Regarding a thickness of a raw material extrusion direction Z, the high flow rate part 24 exceeds the low flow rate part 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
