PURPOSE: To provide a method in which a fixing component such as an adhesive tape is not required in the case of overlapped thermoplastic resin sheets in a mold, the arranging work in the mold is easy, the position can be modified without affecting the mold itself adversely at the time of arranging the sheets in the mold and the collapse of overlapped sheets in the mold is prevented effectively.
CONSTITUTION: In a molding method in which a fiber reinforced resin material 1 composed of a plurality of thermoplastic resin sheets 1a, 1b and 1c, including at least a fiber reinforced resin sheet or sheets and in the state of being overlapped, is put into a mold 2 and heated to form an integrated fiber reinforced resin material of given shape, the respective overlapped sheets 1a, 1b and 1c are fixed one another preliminarily by tackers 3 so that the shape along the mold 2 can be retained when the fiber reinforced resin material 1 is placed in the mold 2.
