Abstract:
To provide a molding method of molten glass capable of improving easily molding accuracy of the molten glass.SOLUTION: A molding method of one embodiment includes a supply step for discharging molten glass having a temperature lower than a softening point in a belt-like state, and supplying it onto the surface of a molten metal, and a transfer step for transferring a glass ribbon supplied onto the surface of the molten metal. The transfer step includes a cooling step for cooling the transferred glass ribbon so that the temperature of the glass ribbon becomes lower than the softening point wholly in the width direction, in an area on the transfer direction upstream side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
