Abstract:

PURPOSE: To continuously mold a rubber coating on the outer circumference of a long core while the core is transported successively and easily and precisely mold a long non-ceramic insulator.
CONSTITUTION: A raw material rubber is poured in a cavity 21 of dies 1, 2 and a rubber coating R consisting of a trunk part (b) and a hood part (s) is molded on the oute circumference of a long core C. A storage part 28 to store the rear end part of the rubber coating R after the molding is formed in the dies 1, 2. Positioning jigs 32, 33 to hold the terminal part of the already molded rubber coating R and position the long core C in the dies 1, 2 are installed at the front end of the dies 1, 2. A sleeve 26 to mold a connection part of the rubber coating R is installed at the rear end part of the cavity 21. At the time when a first rubber coating is molded, a head holding jig is installed while replacing the positioning jig 32.
