To provide a molding sand-removing device and a molding sand-removing method, capable of removing molding sand efficiently.SOLUTION: A molding sand-removing device 1 includes: a base 50 on which a workpiece W including a molding sand is placed, the base being movable from side to side; an air hammer 70 for applying a striking power to the workpiece W placed on the base 50 repeatedly in a vertical direction; a base-colliding wall part 90 for applying a striking power to the base 50 when the movable base 50 collides with the wall; and a piston 81 for making the base 50 move repeatedly toward the base-colliding wall part 90. The air hammer 70 applies the striking power to the workpiece W while the piston 81 is operated to make the base 50 move and then collide with the base-colliding wall part 90 repeatedly.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
