Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the number of molecules to be measured by a simple method in the measurement of mass utilizing specific binding such as the reaction of antigen and antibody.
CONSTITUTION: A monomolecular film 11 including carrier molecules 2 (antibody molecules or the like) specifically bindable to counted object molecules 4 (antigen molecules or the like) is formed, and the carrier molecules 2 and the counted object molecules 4 are bound on one face side of the monomolecular film 11. The corrugation of the monomolecular film 11 on the bound face side of the counted object molecules 4 is then measured using an inter-atomic energy microscope or the like to count the counted object molecules 4. A monomolecular film 21 including carrier molecules 2 (immuno globulin G molecules or the like) is formed adjacently to the substrate monomolecular film 11 including molecules 1 (protein A molecules or the like) bindable to the carrier molecules 2, and the carrier molecules 2 and the counted object molecules 4 are bound on the surface side of the monomolecular film 21.
