Title:
MOLTEN METAL SENSING METHOD FOR BASE METAL IN ELECTRIC ASH MELTING FURNACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3585344
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an accurate sensing of an amount of base metal.
SOLUTION: A plasma torch 15A is lowered, immersed into a base metal 4, its lower end is abutted against a bottom part 3a of a furnace, a height of the plasma torch 15A at this time is detected, the plasma torch 15A is ascended while a potential between the plasma torch 15A and the base metal 4 is being detected, a variation of the potential between the plasma torch 15A and the base metal 4 when the plasma torch 15A is pulled out of the base metal 4 into molten slag FS is detected to cause it to become a molten metal surface position of the base metal, an ascending distance of the plasma torch 15A from the bottom wall 3a up to the molten metal surface position and then a molten metal surface level of the base metal 4 is detected. The bottom wall part having no corrosion or variation is set to be a reference level to enable even an electrode consumed by electrical discharging or the like to detect an accurate molten metal surface level.
