PURPOSE: To obtain a high-quality product contg. less inclusions by attaching and providing plural sheets of perpendicularly extending members radially to the lower part of an openable and closable bar-shaped core material in an outflow port provided in the bottom of a molten metal vessel, thereby preventing the generation of vortexes in the outflow part and decreasing slag intrusion.
CONSTITUTION: Plural sheets of the perpendicularly extending vane members 54 are radially attached and provided to the lower part of the openable and closable bar-shaped core material 52 existing on the axial line of the outlet port 25 provided to the bottom 22 of the molten metal vessel 21. The core material 5 is raised to prevent the vortexes to be generated near the outflow port 25 when the molten metal 42 flows out of the port 25, by which the intrusion of the slag 44 on the surface into the molten metal is decreased. The highquality product contg. the less inclusions is thus obtd.
